Terms and Conditions of Services

Effective Date: 06/01/2026
These Terms and Conditions of Services ("Terms") govern your use of www.hand2hammer.com and your purchase or use of services from Hand 2 Hammer, LLC ("Hand 2 Hammer," "we," "us," or "our").
By scheduling, purchasing, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Hand 2 Hammer provides furniture assembly, installation, and related labor services as described on our website, by estimate, or in a service order. We may refuse or discontinue service if a job site is unsafe, inaccessible, unsanitary, or materially different from what was described when the service was scheduled.
2. Scheduling and Access
You agree to:
• provide accurate contact and service information;
• ensure that the service location is accessible at the scheduled time;
• secure pets, children, and valuables;
• provide adequate workspace, lighting, and access; and
• disclose any conditions that may affect safety, completion, or pricing.
If we are unable to complete the service because the site is not ready, accessible, or safe, we may charge a failed trip, site inspection, or inconvenience fee and reschedule the appointment.
3. Payment
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
• payment is due in full before service begins;
• if payment is not received by the cancellation deadline, the appointment may be cancelled;
• any deposit, hold, or preauthorization may be applied to the final balance;
• you are responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, and charges disclosed at the time of purchase.
We may use a third-party payment processor. Your payment is subject to the processor’s terms and conditions.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge if you do so by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the day before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made after that deadline may incur a $100 cancellation/rescheduling fee.
If we arrive for a scheduled job and are unable to perform the work due to site conditions, lack of access, missing parts, unpaid balance, or customer delay, we may treat the appointment as a failed trip and charge the applicable fee.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
• confirming that all products, parts, and components are present and correct;
• ensuring the product is suitable for assembly or installation in the intended location;
• clearing the work area of obstructions and hazards;
• disclosing known defects, damage, or special conditions;
• obtaining any permission needed for work at the location; and
• reviewing the completed work promptly.
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, manufacturer issues, missing parts not provided to us, or conditions outside our control.
6. Site Readiness and Safety
The work area must be reasonably clean, accessible, and safe.
If we encounter garbage, human waste, animal waste, insects, moisture intrusion, structural instability, blocked access, or other unsanitary or dangerous conditions within the work area or the immediate surrounding space needed to complete the job, we may stop work, leave the site, reschedule, and charge an inconvenience or failed trip fee.
7. Photos and Documentation
We may document the job site, products, assembly process, and completed work using photographs, notes, timestamps, and other records for quality control, training, dispute resolution, and proof of completion.
8. Limited Warranty
To the extent permitted by law, our warranty is limited to workmanship only and does not cover manufacturer defects, misuse, normal wear and tear, improper use, alterations by others, or damage caused by events outside our control.
Any implied warranties are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;
• our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Dispute Resolution; Illinois Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The updated Terms apply to services scheduled after the effective date of the update.
